Transaction history for Windy City Hacks 2019. We started organizing in February 2019 & completely failed to raise money for the event until the final month of organizing, during which we raised nearly $14,000 and had our venue costs paid for by GitHub. —Matthew & team
Note: After the 2019-2020 school year started, I used leftover funds from this account (about $2,000) to run my Hack Club at my school. Every transaction after “GitHub Grant”, and every card transaction after ~September, is related to my Hack Club.
In 2024, a new group of high schoolers revived Windy City Hacks, and we transferred the remaining balance of this account over to them: windy-city-hacks
