💛 Heart & Hope Project — 9.12 Volunteer Update

Hi everyone!

We wanted to share a quick update on what’s happening with Heart & Hope Project and what we’re working toward over the next few weeks.

🧸 Sponsor a Bear Campaign

We are officially beginning our Sponsor a Bear campaign! Our goal is to raise funds to provide Build-A-Bear furry friends for our first comfort kits. We have also been in communication with the Build-A-Bear team about organizing an in-store experience where Heart & Hope volunteers can help create the sponsored bears before they are placed into our comfort kits.

You’ll begin seeing Sponsor a Bear content on our social media, and we encourage everyone to share and repost the campaign when you see it. Every share helps us reach more people!

🎒 Comfort Kit Supply Drive

We are also working on organizing our first community supply drive to collect new items for our comfort kits. More information will be shared once the details and location are confirmed.

💌 Encouragement Cards

Our encouragement card program is still active! Volunteers can continue creating cards following our card guidelines. These cards will eventually be included in our comfort kits to provide an additional message of encouragement to the children receiving them.

🙋 In-Person Volunteer Opportunities Are Coming

We are currently planning our first in-person volunteer opportunities, including the possibility of Sponsor a Bear pop-ups, supply-drive activities, the Build-A-Bear experience, and eventually our first comfort-kit packing event.

As these opportunities are confirmed, we’ll post sign-ups and information so volunteers can participate.

🎯 Our September Goal

We’ve spent the past few months building the foundation of Heart & Hope Project. Now our focus is turning those plans into action.

💌 Volunteer Hub

Hey volunteers! Make sure to join our new volunteer hub to stay up to date and earn the most hours! (This is temporary until we complete building our own volunteer hub!) https://app.getzelos.com/i/ZvKjF9Y7

Our goal is to have real, measurable community impact by the end of September.

Whether you make cards, share our campaign, participate in an event, help collect supplies, or volunteer behind the scenes, every contribution helps us get closer to completing and delivering our first comfort kits.

Thank you for being part of Heart & Hope Project, especially at such an early stage. We’re excited to finally start putting our plans into action and hope you’ll be part of what comes next!
